Silver Swans®️ ballet classes have been specifically designed for the over 55’s but are open to adults of all ages and abilities. Open and accessible, classes help improve mobility, posture, coordination and energy levels. Whether you’ve never danced before or want to get back into the swing of it, Silver Swans®️ classes have something for everyone!
This is an innovative body conditioning program developed in Australia, known as Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT). No impact exercises are performed with large and small exercise balls to help develop core stability and strength amongst many other things!
This class is ideal for anyone with a basic knowledge of ballet steps wanting to ease themselves back into ballet after a long break, improve their fitness or strengthen their technique in a friendly, fun and supportive environment. These classes will reopen for booking in Autumn 2024.
Designed for dancers already working on pointe or are studying vocational work and are working towards it. The class includes a range of exercises to strengthen the feet and legs and to help dancers build correct pointe work technique.
The Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) is one of the world’s most influential dance education and training organisations and it offers a wide range of exams and assessments to students of all ages and abilities. We teach the RAD syllabus at a number of schools in the North East, so if you want to develop your fitness, musicality and artistry, join a class.
Character dance is seen in famous ballets like Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty and Giselle where stories are told through traditional and folk dance of countries such as Poland, Russia, Hungary and the Ukraine. Character work teaches musicality, rhythm and mime and classes are offered for children to compliment their existing RAD classes and also for adults to learn and enjoy.
This class includes floor barre exercises (ballet on a mat) and Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) -the revolutionary program that successfully trains muscle memory with the help of exercise balls and resistance bands to enhance ballet technique.
This class uses specially designed exercises built around traditional ballet steps to improve overall fitness, muscle strength and stamina…and they’re danced to pop music too!
Open to anyone wanting private, one-on-one teaching for more focussed corrections and guidance. Ideal for learning more, improving an area of technique or performance or coaching for a specific event like an exam or audition.

Looking for something a little bit different for a party or group event? Have fun learning ballet steps and working together as part of the ‘corps de ballet’, building up to a star performance! The experience can be tailored depending on the occasion. Please get in touch with enquires.
